Shop-Made Modular/Portable Router Table w/Micro Adjust
I had a full sized Jessem router table in my shop for a long time. The amount of floor space it took up, not having any way of centering the router in the lift (for using a pattern collet), and desire for a micro-adjust feature finally pushed me to make my own table. I’ve been using my shop-made small, stowable, bench mountable router table for a few months now, and I love it.
Here are some build details:
The phenolic top measures 17” x 17” and incorporates T-Tracks along both sides for securing a fence, and a combination T-Track/Mini T-Track across the front for using miter attachments.
The cabinet is 16” wide, 12” deep, and 14” tall and incorporates a built in router witch and dust port. These dimensions allow it to fit in my Festool Systainer Port.
The table mounts to my work benches using my 20mm dog-holes and TSO Power-Loc™ Bench Connector Dogs.
It has optional 8-1/2” extensions on both sides which allow for an ample 34” table.
My shop made fence is set up for Micro adjust using a Micro Fence Micro Stop.
I used a SawStop RT-LFT Four-Post Router Lift and a Woodpeckers Spinrite Router Motor.
