Delfast- Morimoto Endicator, Motogadget Spy Mirror, & Modpod Mini Light Upgrade
I waited for my Delfast Top 3.0 to arrive from last September 2021 through March 2022. During this time, I decided, I really did not like the Donkey ear mirror/turn signal set-up that comes stock on the Delfast. So, on the very day when my bike finally arrived (see my unboxing video here), I went to work on upgrading the side mirror and lights.
I’ve been riding the bike with these lights and mirror since then, and I couldn’t be happier with how they’ve turned out. I frankly cant imagine doing some of the rides I’ve done with the stock set-up.
The mirror is sufficient to five me a sufficient view of everything behind me at a glance. Event though I don’t have a mirror on the right, I can see what is on my right back 15’ or so. It does stick out a bit so I have to watch in in tight spots; but, it only takes turning one bolt to remove it for trail rides.
These lights are minimalist, bright, weatherproof, and durable. And let’s not forget, they look awesome!!
Here are a couple of additional install notes:
On the Morimoto Edicators, there are three wires. The black goes to ground, white is for white light, and amber is for amber light. If you are setting these up as turn signals you want to not use the white wire, and use the amber wire (See the product manual here).
On the Morimoto Modpod Minis, there are also three wires. The black goes to ground, white is for high intensity, and amber is for low intensity. For brake lights, Use white for brake lights, and amber for running lights with red lenses. For turn signals us white and amber together with amber lenses (See the product manual here).
